Founded in 2015 by Dr. Priya Fernando, a renowned ornithologist and conservationist, Birds in Sri Lanka began as a small initiative to share the island's incredible bird diversity with the world.
What started as weekend birdwatching trips for friends and colleagues has grown into Sri Lanka's premier birding tour company, welcoming thousands of bird enthusiasts from across the globe.
Our journey has been driven by a deep passion for conservation, education, and the belief that responsible tourism can help protect Sri Lanka's natural heritage for future generations.
